Roll-to-roll web laminating systems

Pyradia offers both complete roll-to-roll laminating lines, as well as individual laminating modules. Our laminating equipment are tailored to your application, answering the most challenging process requirements to optimize your production of a variety of substrates, such as paper, composite materials, films, nonwovens and foams.

We offer a complete range of laminators, from simple unheated laminator modules to heavy duty heated systems. Heated lamination process requires accurate temperature control, which is critical for uniform adhesion and to prevent product defects such as blistering or laminated wrinkles. Uniform nip pressure is another key factor for producing quality products, whether using a floating nip or gap control for lofty material such as foams or thick nonwovens. Closed loop control of the applied force can be monitored with loadcell feedback.

As required, substrates can be preheated using infrared sources, convection, or others, and cooled using chill rolls or convection. We offer a wide range of compliant and chromed laminator rolls, which can be double shell for fluid heating and cooling, or incorporating Pyradia proprietary non rotating electrically heated single shell rolls.

Pyradia also offers specialty laminators, such as dual-sided hot melt panel board laminator, embossers, and flat belt laminators equipped with Teflon coated glass belts or stainless steel belts for heavy duty high compression lamination.
