Ultra low web tension can be achieved with tendency driven rollers or air bearings. Rollers can also be driven at line speed, with either servo ratio control or web tension feedback.

Ideal for single sided coated applications, these dryers can be equipped with various nozzle shapes, for optimizing the drying process efficiency, while preventing coating defects. High-velocity impingement creates turbulent airflow at the surface of the coating, efficiently removing moisture, by breaking the humidity barrier to attain elevated evaporation rates. This approach ensures thorough drying across the entire surface of the material, eliminating localized high moisture content and preventing over-drying or overheating. Dual sided dryers are equipped with nozzles on top and bottom sides of the web, allowing for quicker heating of the substrate while controlling the drying rate.
