Horizontal quench ovens & furnaces

Enhance Industrial Operations with Pyradia's Custom Made Horizontal Quench Ovens & Furnaces

Experience superior solution heat treating with Pyradia’s custom-made horizontal quench ovens & furnaces. Our state-of-the-art insulation, control system, loading and unloading mechanism, and quench tank ensure unmatched performance and reliability, setting a new standard in the industry. They are typically requiring less height space than the Drop Bottom Ovens.

Pyradia’s engineering capabilities for custom-made horizontal quench ovens & furnaces

Pyradia offers custom-made horizontal quench ovens & furnaces. The oven is offered with air convection technology for operating temperatures of up to 1400°F (760°C) along with a certified temperature uniformity. A furnace will be supplied for the higher operating temperatures between 1400-2012°F (760-1100°C) with FeCrAl alloy low density heating elements molded with ceramic fiber insulation. Our custom-made furnace can accommodate heavy loads up to 15 Tonnes (16,5 Tons).

Our horizontal quench ovens are built to withstand intensive and continuous use. Automated loading and quenching systems, managed by PLC, ensure precise control. The load can be quenched in as little as 15 seconds for the smaller loads.

Ovens & Furnaces

Ovens for operating temperatures up to 1400°F (760°C)

From our HM Series, our ovens feature up to 8″ (20 cm) ceramic fiber module insulation, minimizing heat loss and enabling rapid heat cycling for optimal energy efficiency. This durable design minimizes maintenance and ensures a long-lasting performance. Our ovens operate quietly, with noise levels below 85 dB.

Furnaces for an operating temperatures range of 2012°F (1100°C) °F (760-1260°C)

Our furnace shell is made of 3/16″ steel plate welded to structural units and is equipped with FeCrAl alloy strip or wire elements supported by ceramic hooks and retaining system in the ceramic fiber modules. It can be also equipped with an air recirculation system for a tight temperature uniformity at all temperatures.

Loading / unloading system

For the smaller load, our HM Series oven, is equipped with a motorized push-pull chain system ensuring the horizontal transfer of the work rack structure from the oven to the quenching tank and vice versa. These loading and quenching sequences are automated. The work basket is typically loaded and unloaded onto and from the elevator with an overhead crane or with mobile lifting equipment.

For the larger loads our loading and unloading system consist of a manipulator on rails complete with and hydraulic lifting mechanism and electromechanical drive system. The metal components to be immersed in the quenching media is made of high heat-resistant stainless steel.
