The AZ manufacturing site of a global supplier of precision aluminum and magnesium sand cast components for the aerospace industry recently awarded a contract to Pyradia Industrial ovens division for the design and manufacturing of a drop bottom furnace for heat treating sand castings.

The electrically powered  48″ x 48″ x 48″ AMS 2750E Class II heat treat furnace will be able to reach a maximum design temperature of 1200°F and a  temperature uniformity  of +/- 10°F within the working zone at an operating temperature between 600°F & 1150°F. Among others the furnace will be equipped with an insulation consisting of 6’’ of high density, ceramic fiber modules, a variable speed electro mechanical hoist sytem and Honeywell eZtrend data acquisition system.
